Road Side Assistance
Terms and conditions of National 24Hour Roadside Assist.
Free to all SAM customers that bought a road legal SAM product as from the 1st May 2009
Roadside assistance is subject to an activated warranty and scheduled services adhered to.
Roadside assist is Engine number related and is transferable from the 1st customer as long as the service schedule is up to date at the time of the sale.
Roadside assist is not available for commercial customers unless prior arrangements have been made.
Roadside Assistance is valid for a period of one year from date of purchase and subject to activation of SAM warrantee.
The following points will void your roadside assistance. SAM will keep the unit till all costs of assistance are recovered.
Vehicle has not been serviced in accordance with the warrantee book requirements.
Vehicle was retrieved by Roadside Assist and found to be in 100% working order.
Services rendered by Roadside Assist are strictly the following:
24 Hour ROAD SIDE ASSIST
Jump start
Out of fuel- provision of fuel to maximum of 5 liters
Tow-in to a authorized SAM dealer should there be a mechanical or electrical breakdown on a public road.
An extra cost will be levied when:
Tyres must be changed or repaired
Battery must be replaced.
The services that are covered are the following.
Emergency medical rescue
services
The AA provides 24-hour AA Mayday emergency medical rescue services for Unforeseen medical emergencies. The AA will arrange and pay for emergency medical evacuation to a suitable medical facility in the event of a medical emergency. The service is available nationally and includes:
• Emergency evacuation and transfer to the most suitable medical facility
• Relocation after treatment
• Liaison with next of kin to keep them informed
• Traveling companions for stranded minors (motor motorcycle collisions)
• Transfer of emergency medicine and blood
• Telephonic medical and travel advice
• Rape crisis helpline
• Repatriation of mortal remains or local burial
Please keep in-mind that this is a Roadside Assist and should only be used for Roadside related Assistance. Any form of abuse of the scheme will be for the customers account.
